Hoo. Dee. Hoo.  Still need to finish the first two.  I suck.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

I'm a couple of hours into this so far, and I'm loving it completely.  The changes to the battle system, especially how combos work, make the system more enjoyable to use.    The story/setting change is interesting so far, though I do miss having Yuri.  It was time for something different though.

I will say that each of these games has gotten progressively weirder in its cast line-up though.  Some of the party members in this game are odd as hell, but it keeps me amused, so I guess it works.

That just means he's less likely to be resisted because he looks like a girl.

Hey, we don't know that. It could just be the roofies.

Curious, how much gay porn is in this installment?

Hrm. 6 hours in and I've not seen gay porn. The only 2 things that have returned are the Ring Soul and the two gay frenchies.

I keep thinking I'm missing out on something by not having a PS2, then I realize I'm really not.

Counterbalance: God of War has titties.

Not having a PS2 is like not having a microwave oven.

I don't have a microwave so I don't understand your analogy. Microwaves make shitty warmed-over crud. I'm confused.

Not having a PS2 is like not having a way to COOK FOOD. Keke ^_^

There are a mess of games from the previous generation that make the PS2 more than worth owning. On that note, I think I'll play through some RE4 stuff again this weekend. Or maybe, in vain, try to beat God of War on that God Difficulty level bullshit.

Schild, have you ever beat Devil May Cry on the super-insaneo-make-you-cry difficulty?  Seems like something you might have done.

I saw someone play the game once. Didn't interest me.

But you're right, sometimes it is the sort of thing I'd do. I enjoyed the game Nightshade. Also, Blood Will Tell and Bujingai. All 3 of those can be super-insano-hard.

Right now I'm struggling through some of the tougher shit in Mega Man Powered up (between grinding my Disgaea characters and playing the thread title game [this thread]).

I'd probably get this one if my PS2 was working, was a long time since I played some good japanese RPG.

On a diffrent matter entirely, have you somehow forgoten Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence or is there a more indepth review coming up?  tongue

I've chatted about subsistence in the other thread. I don't even like Metal Gear, but you know what. Maybe that's a good game to play over St. Patty's day weekend. I've never reviewed a Kojima title. I wonder if I can be ethereal and bullshitty enough to pull off that sort of nonsense. Sure, why not, I'll start playing tonight.

I "played" subsistence for 3 hours last night. 20 minutes was gameplay, the other 2 hours and 40 minutes was cutscenes and comm conversations. My ass hurts plentiful.

Sounds like MGS2, never did play MGS3 because of my borked PS2. I liked that MGS2 was as story driven as it was so I might get another PS2 and this new edition.

I wouldn't have minded MGS2 being story driven if the story hadn't been fucked up beyond belief, not to mention one that pissed all over MGS1, the one that actually had a story that I liked.  Christ MGS2 was a ripoff.
