HEYO: So far I've ran almost everyone through this instance with the exception of a few (Shockeye, Fabricated, Rasix and Shuggles.) That makes for a full group and I'm hoping we can all get this done soon so we can move onto BFD/SFK. When is a good time for any of you? MrHat can you see when Shuggles is good to do this?

Also, for those of you who are just coming up on the level needed for Deadmines I'm willing to do the run with you guys. We had Draccodar on our run so it wasn't too hard . Though most of our credit has to go to this brave young object:

Anyway, for those of you wanting to do the run there are 4 quests.

Defias Brotherhood: Gryan Stoutmantle of Sentinel Hill gives this quests. Leads to the VanCleef quest.

The next 3 quests can be found in the Dwarven District of Stormwind.

Collecting Memories & Oh Brother...: Both from Wilder Thistlenettle.

Underground Assault: Shoni the Shilent

Just reply and say when is good.

Sure, count me in if you need some more muscle.  I may be getting a bit high but I want that damn hammer!

But if we do do Deadmines again I need a bit of notice so I can slaughter my way throught he vancleef prereqs.

EDIT: And don't forget about the Stockades in SW.  Good XP, short and easy, but the loot is crap and its only slightly harder than Deadmines.

Level ranges? That's for kids.

But seriously, my priest will be up to speed by next Saturday, at the latest (I hope!!).

VC is cool.

Stockades can e a pain, but it's usually pretty easy.

BFD...is kind of boring, but has some terrific drops and quests.

Whoever the mage is, we could really use them for Poly-CC. The healing is all me.

Deadmines levels range from 20-25. That's the safe levels. The game suggests 15-21 or some nonsense like that. But a group like that would get slaughtered. If you're 19 I'd say we could do it without a problem. We'd have to setup 2 runs as the current size is 6. I'm sure some of us wouldn't mind doing VC a couple times. I know I wouldn't just for the mining alone.

(Edit: Wrong dungeon. Whoops.

Just hit 18 last night, and do need to do Deadmines for some quests. Monday night might not be a bad time.

Still frantically trying to catch Zhazha up for VC and Deadmine pwnage.

If VC is 21, you can pull it off at lvl 18, IF you have a mage for Poly, and priest for dedicated healing.

I'll be looking to do this around 10pm PST if anyone wants to help.  If not, I'll just skip it and have some more fun torching stuff with Pyroblast.

I don't know if they're puffy, but I'm pretty sure I can make pirate shirts as a tailor.

Ok, we will try to get a Deadmines group together tonight to help out Rasix and anyone else that needs to play in there.

I'm thinking between 8:30 and 9pm Pacific?

Well, I did Deadmines in a pickup group last night. Needless to say, it was one of the worst experiences I've had since coming back to WoW.

Here's the breakdown of the group:

Lvl 26 paladin: Dumb, dumb motherfucker.  Would never listen to the puller.  Rolled on a blue ring where everyone passed. Default ninja loot, but honestly I didn't care after 5 minutes. During the Smite fight he forgot to aggro Smite and didn't cast a SINGLE FUCKING HEAL the entire time even when our priest died to his stupidity.  Luckily he survived and rezzed us after sitting there and watching me die to Smite.

Lvl 20-21 priest:  Good player.  Had problems when shit hit the fan though.  Wouldn't heal my pet, but when I was a shaman, I'd never do that either unless asked.  Rolled on a item when he should have passed.

Lvl 18 mage: Crappy player. Could remember when or what to poly.  Didn't even have poly out when we started the instance. Took him about 10-20 minutes to move from the entrance once we decided to enter.  Forgot loot rules at end and rolled on the blue tunic of VC. (notice a trend)

Lvl 20 hunter:  Not me, some night elf chick. Your typical egotistical uber player.  A lot of uber angst and annoying attempts at perfectionism from this bitch.  What kind of uber has memorized the best ways to pull the first motherfucking instance you're allowed to do? She came in and completely changed our loot rules, insisted on being the puller, and managed to yell at everyone at all times.  Came into the instance with her bow nearly broken and managed to yell at us for that.  It's our fault her fragile bow nearly broke.

And me: I did one bad thing, first time I've ever done a really fucked up thing I can remember.  I wasn't paying attention and rolled on a BoE green sword.  I just matter of factly hit OK when it asked me if I was sure about this.  Not sure what the hell I was thinking,  but I was dead at the time and thought we had wiped, so I guess I was just testing if the sword could even be gotten.

This royally pissed off elf bitch and I felt bad that she couldn't out roll my 22.  Ya know, I've never done something this bone-headed in game (especially after bitching at the paladin for doing the same), and I felt really bad about. I tried to calm her down (it wasn't really that good of a sword anyhow, heh) and offered to give her a gold to make it right.  Nope, she managed to continue to rant and rave and tell me how direly important 3 agility is for her offhand weapon.  It's 3 fucking agility.  Still, I felt bad but she didn't feel like taking an apology or any money.

Pfft, off to a meeting.  I'll add some more in a few.

Then I would suggest you stick to guild groups (mostly).

We're all just highly stratified in levels currently.  Plus, no one ever wants to do an instance when I usually have my most concurrent time available: 10pm PST.  This is completely reasonable though, I don't expect people to even remotely have my sort of time table and I've gotten used to it.

Hunter is really easy to level though as long as I can keep in new guns.   I think I need to beef up my pet some though.  I'll be caught up in no time, I'd imagine.  Of course, 5 weeks until I'm in France for 2 weeks.

We had a fucktard in our BFD group last night.

Took one ninja roll and I told Straz to boot his ass.

I think the group just got royally fucked when the night elf bitch (NEB)  decided to change our loot procedure 30 mins into the instance.  Before we were going to do NBG, but the paladin wasn't smart enough to figure that out.  So, the NEB decides we pass on all BoE equipment and then roll afterwards.  Really, this is a monumentally bad idea because the mage obviously had no idea what she said as he related at the VERY END of the instance.  The mage, priest and paladin I don't think had ever been in an instance or in a group before.   Complex loot rules for rolling (when you've never done an instance before)  when there's a rolling system in game for this was totally unneccessary given the absolutely newbie status of the majority of the party.   Plus we had just established loot rules like 10 mins before this that the paladin was already stuggling with.  "So, I shouldn't have rolled on that tunic I can't use?"

Doesn't excuse what I did, but mine was just a complete brain fart, not a failure to understand the situation.  Although I really didn't know you could win (and receive) loot when you're dead. I'd been doing FFA loot for ohh, at least 20 days played I'd imagine.  Still, felt bad, heh. Dumbest thing I think I've ever done in a game.

I myself don't get the "pass on BoE and roll after" nonsense. But, I do it anyway. It seems to please everyone else. I think it gives other players a sense of fairness. A lot of people tend to think the in-game roll on uncommon has fairness built in. I can tell you from our BFD run last night that this is not true. Why do I walk away with so much shit loot? I hate this, I really do.

Typical loot rules for instance running is:

Roll on all BoE (Bind on Equip: usually greens), if someone needs, then you trade it to them after.
Pass on all BoP (Bind on Pickup), since there are fucktards that just roll on everything, this needs to be added.  After everyone has passed, /random 1-100 on these items.

This method also insures that you're not wasting 1h on just /random'ing everything

Is the passing on BoP meant to make sure people don't roll on stuff by mistake before the timer is up?

I still don't understand why WoW's loot rolling system can't be made to check the party for deaths/anyone in combat. If anyone is in combat, don't do the rolling til all the combat is done, or all the players are ressed and returned. They go half-assed on this rolling system, and then you have stupidity like people bitching about loot. Which they'll do anyway.

I remember in EQ's LDoN you use to designate people as a "Master Looter" who would just deal with all the loot and post-mission distribution.

I had myself a few items which heavily modified my charisma to get good prices on the vendor trash.

I would loot all the mobs, and hold everything until the end.

And I was a Rogue.

Naturally, I was skimming from the top, unless I liked the people I was with.
