But for some reason I really enjoy collecting blacksmithing plans, so I'll probably end up collecting the hojillion bars you need for the whole set.

Not too shabby for crafted.

Holy Shite, around 200 Thorium for the whole set...

I bet my old Human female Warrior would look Super Hot in that set.  undecided

heh, try collecting the obscene amount of Dark Iron ore needed to get the fire resist patterns from the guy in BRD.

something like 900+ Dark iron turn-ins to get enough faction.

I guess she got owned in fights, if you fondled your crotch with one hand too. It is a bland looking silver-grey suit of armor, and the required components in many of the parts makes it decent stuff to grind on.

Speaking of crafting shit (and since I'm fucking sick of reading about the honor system), I am having one hell of a time collecting Breaths of Wind for the Phantom Blades I want to make for me and a friend. The Gusting Vortexes that drop them spawn only in Tanaris, and that place is huge.

I seem to recall that you can also transmute Water -> Air with Alchemy to get Breaths (I believe this was the ONLY way to obain them before Tanaris was itemized)

True, but you have to complete quests in Schololmance and then you buy the recipe from the ghosts near there.

Find a spot with a lot of Gazers, and just kill everything in sight, nonstop. They are placeholders for the Vortexes (Vortices?), or so it seems. You just need to wander around and find the right spawn points. Also group up with someone. I noticed the drop rates shot up when I grouped with a guildmate who was soloing in another zone.
