You could always park the pet in an unobtrusive spot nearby if possible and you're concerned the whistle may give away your ambush. Or just cut loose with Aimed Shot, then summon and send the pet after.

At least he's playing a human. Aren't more people playing Nightelves than all the races put together on the entire horde side, the majority of which are female nightelves at that? I can see escaping into a human female in WoW. Or even an Undead. Or even a dwarf. But female nightelf. Sorry. Just can't. Even a male nightelf would be more acceptable.
well if you take racial traits into consideration I can understand playing an elf on the alliance side (which is my side), but I play human (and let me tell you perception sucks), because the elves don't believe in magic or something silly according to the first part of the series of fiction books that came with the Collectors edition. Yes I bought the CE. STFU. I get a cute diablo.
