404 Gaming decided to form a subsidiary company called Rapid Reality and brought in a separate team to create games using the Kaneva technology. The current plan is to launch not just one but a whole network of MMO titles of various genres. The first three games (fantasy themed, post apocalyptic themed and mech-robot combat themed) are scheduled to launch sometime this year. More info on the games, including screenshots, should be made available by the end of this month, according to Ghetti.
Should we start a betting pool on how long it takes for the first game to see the light of day, let alone all 3?
Apparently all you need to start an MMO is a couple million dollars and a half functioning monkey brain. Kudos to the developers who have a fully functioning monkey brain. They will get extra bananas.
