CORVALLIS -- Accused underwear thief Sung Koo Kim apparently told police that he was a "hobbyist" who collected women's underwear.
This, according to a Newberg police department video played yesterday in Benton County Court.
Tigard resident Kim is facing charges in four Oregon counties after allegations that he stole thousands of pairs of women's underwear from college campuses across the state.
He is also facing charges of possession of child pornography in Washington County.
Kim's lawyers want to have the videotape tossed out, because they were not present during the police questioning.
In the last two months, judges in Multnomah, Washington and Yamhill counties have lowered Kim's bail.
That, after Corvallis police said he was no longer a person of interest in the disappearance of 19-year-old Brooke Wilberger.
