Saw this last night, it's the english debut of Joon-ho Bong who directed 'The Host', which i loved. Really liked this as long as you don't think too hard about a train running on a perpetual motion machine. Had a hint of Bioshock to it with large nods to a few different books I have read over the years, including The Dark Beyond the Stars. I have never read the graphic novel it's based on, but I'll try to track it down.

I really liked this a lot, however flawed it was. It's very high concept and at least an interesting movie in a summer of movies that are exactly the opposite. Not sure if it needs to be seen in the theatres but I highly recommend checking it out.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

I wanted to like this more than I did unfortunately.

The story made no sense at all, neither did the setting. The acting was incredibly variable - Tilda Swinton was great, but odd (par for the course) but John Hurt was on autopilot.

There was, however, a fight scene that was amazing, although I wasn't sure wtf the fish was all about.

John Hurt's been on auto-pilot for a while, imo.  Though he did a good Doctor.

This is on netflix streaming and I'm really glad I watched it, I thought it was very different and pretty nifty build up.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.
