Huh, makes me think I should get around to playing the first one.

So what's the verdict on this one?  Is it at least as good as the first?

Yes, its an improved version of the first one. It is bigger, has more challenging riddles, and they even improved the monster AI (no more running around each monster in circles until its dead).

Didn't find anything they made worse in the sequel yet.

If you were even remotely interested in the first, it's head and shoulders better and you should just fucking buy it.

Tips available on request.

If you liked this first one or if you liked Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder or lands of Lore then buy it.

Everything about that game is great (with the exception of the final boss fight, fuck that)

I didn't have Jeffs problems with the final fight.  I actually enjoyed it.

It helped that my lizardman was pretty fucking immune to everything that got thrown at him.

I expect the second play through to be much better. I had a mediocre party that could handle everything up to that point fine but gets utterly creamed on that particular fight.
