Yeah, wowzers.

Except for the Kojima part. Let him nowhere near the script. Like nowhere. break his fingers if you need to.

Kojima and del Toro working on SH doesn't fill me with confidence. They have similar issues as writers - can suffer from tin ear. That said I'm glad Konami is giving Silent Hill a push, IIRC the last Silent Hill game was some sort of PSP Diablo-style game or some shit.

It was Downpour, which was actually the best western attempt at a Silent Hill title. It was jank and fucked up by letting stupid moral choices affect what happened before the game, but it was actually pretty good IMO at getting the look/feel right without aping all of the old Silent Hill visuals/models/tropes.

The game I was thinking of was "Book of Memories" (not to be confused with "Shattered Memories"), a PSVita game. It is more recent than Downpour.

Of course the game is completely forgettable and Silent Hill in name only.

The teaser demo was interesting, although I'm not sure if it's in any way actually representative of what the final game will be like. 20 minute cut-scenes and long conversations don't make for a scary game so I hope Kojima can somehow learn to just shut the fuck up and let the environment tell most of the story like they did in the teaser.

Sorry.  I hate making threads and I hate resurrecting ancient threads but this is important!

Important Thing.

Well, it's important to me, anyway, and at least 8 people on f13 and I know that for sure.

PS  Could you move this to some place appropriate.  It's the only Silent Hill thread I could find without the other bits of title.  Ras?  Yeg?  Our Schildy?  Thanks in advance.

Did anyone else's sound cut in and out on that video?

I'm not entirely sure what I just watched but I'm stoked.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

There's some sort of interactive teaser if you have a ps4 which I don't.  Hopefully, it won't be exclusive to ps4 or xbox1, although by the time it's released we might have all upgraded.  I'm probably being overly optimistic, though.

The interactive teaser for the PS4 is amazing.

It is utterly terrifying and incredibly well designed - considering how tiny the play space is, it does a fantastic job of building up tension and scaring the hell out of you.

If it is a sign of what the eventual game will be like, then this definitely could be something special.

It's amazing up until the end where it goes from solving puzzles to almost being entirely random and keeping a lot of people stuck for hours.

I wonder if the teaser is still available on PSN. I never bothered downloading it.
