Just looking for any opinions on this.  RT has it at 82% but this is not one I can easily convince the wife to see.

I have never played WoW.

At first glance, this looks like it should be terrible.... But the supporting cast is fantastic, and Soderberg is directing.

I had some friends who saw this. They said I should catch it on video. Definitely catch it on video, mind you, because the long cut fight scenes (especially the centerpiece between Carano and Fassbender) are worth seeing and everybody in the movie seems to be having a great time... but they're all playing stock characters and functionally phoning it in. Plus apparently the ending is super meh.

Any decent fight scene deserves to be seen on big screen, not video!  Also, I heart Gina Carano.  Going to see this tomorrow evening with friends, I'll post my opinions after.

Saw this tonight.  It was actually very good!  Everybody else I was with really enjoyed it as well.  The fight scenes were really well done and fun to watch.  I believe most people here should love it because it wasn't all shaky cam action and had longer action shots.  Soundtrack was great as well.  The plot isn't deep at all, but its by no means bad, and works for a fun well paced action film.
