Couldn`t find an existing thread for this, but heres the E3 2010 trailer:

Looks like a tactical Ninja Gaiden, except Metal Gear, and Raiden has sleeves. I was secretly hoping for a type of 3rd person action game, so the slicing mechanic has me excited.

If this wasn't Metal Gear I wouldn't be interested at all. This needs more Kojima, stat.

This is true, although LIGHTNING BOLT ACTION gives me hope, a little.

Raiden.   Ohhhhh, I see.

I'd prefer if they dropped the Metal Gear Solid moniker. This looks to be a prequel from MGS4, featuring similar locales and PRC soldiers. The "Solid" series, to me, ended with Metal Gear Solid 4.

Peace Walker is a really great MG. Very, very good game that one. This one might be good, but it looks stiff from the pictures. It's like they want to evoke the Raiden from 4's cutscenes and uberfailing. I'd rather see the GoW crew do this game...

The monster looking soldier thing with the gun in the beginning threw me off a little bit. I also wish they would drop the Solid title and just revert to Metal Gear, since this isnt about snake at all. Although I would disagree that the Raiden in gameplay differs from what we saw in 4, we just dont see any type of jumping. It could be revealed at a later point.

And as far as I remember Kojima is leading this isnt he? I just wish the trailer had more of the quirky, fun Kojima effect that MGS4`s trailer did.

He's Exec. Producer, not Director.

What does this have to do with Solid Snake or Big Boss or Espionage action?  =(

The trailer looks cool.  It makes me wish that was Star Wars!

Looks fucking incredible. Just hoping they pay a little attention to the stealth element so I can feel like the Predator, and I'll be quite good.

This post is giving me an aneurysm. How does it look stiff at all?

Welp. There it is. We wen't from MGS to Bayonetta. This may or may not be a good thing however since it sounds like Kojima was about to scrap the project anyway.

Did they just say "REVENGEANCE" in that trailer? Did that Floppy Haired RaidenBot really PARRY a sword as large as a city block with a fucking katana? Dragonball Z called. It wants its 9000 back.

I read some rage over Raiden blocking that sword thing but apparently in MGS4(?) he blocks a boat the size of a city so I guess it's plausible.  I'm not sure what I just typed.

I had no idea the same people that made Bayonetta made Vanquish and Mad World, and are making this.  I'm on board.
