Did a search and didnt see a thread on it so started one.


Saw it this weekend with the wife and we both give it a big thumbs up!
This movie is hilarious! And easily one of Ben Stiller's best in a while, I though it was much better than any of his "Focker's" films.

Eddie Murphy was surprisingly only "okay" in the film, and Im a huge fan of his from his early work. Seemed to be kinda wooden. Which is understandable because he hasnt really worked in awhile.

Some of the real stand outs in the movie include-
Gabourey Sidibe, who made her movie debut in Precious. People wondered how a woman with her weight would find more work in Hollywood following Precious, but she was funny and awesome in her part.
Alan Alda, I never was a huge fan of MASH, but man he acted his ass off in this role. Really impressed me. Nailed the smarmy genius financial guy with no ethics or morals perfectly.
Matthew Broderick, I havent really liked anything he has done since Ferris, but he was great in this movie.

Definitely recommend seeing it in the theaters!

The man CAN act when he tries.

You have to watch MASH before it get all super serious.  Alan Alda was great on there.

I own every boxed set of every season. I cursed God and all of existence when that show was cancelled.

I wouldn't really say that either ER nor West Wing was cancelled.  Seems like natural ends to me...

The missus picked this one out tonight and I was kinda skeptical. This is the first Eddie Murphy movie I've seen in theaters since Another 48 Hours (when I was 10  ) I'm glad we watched Tower Heist because comedies are so hit and miss. Starts out solid with an even better second half. Nothing feels rushed and is set up well. The camera work during the heist was pretty kick ass too. I wanted to see more of Murphy training the group because that stuff was pretty good. Can't really complain though. It was way better than I expected. You can really get some bang for your buck out of PG-13 movies nowadays.

Alda is great as a brazen scumbag.

Really liked this one, but it's hard for me to not like any kind of a heist movie.

Favorite line: "Sharks are born swimming."
