Dude, I just got LFD1 and LFD2 for 10 bucks.  That includes all the DLC.  I fucking love Steam.  Never played either of these games and I'm stoked for tonight when I can play.

Your avatar is perfect for this post.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

I am all over this too, haven't played L4D since the first month it was out, and that was even on the 360 rather than PC.  Stoked, etc.

Ok, played the first campaign of L4D1.  Pretty neat.  I did a single player run through, I'm excited about online co-op on harder difficulty, and the other online modes.  Haven't been this excited about gaming in awhile, and that's not factoring in L4D2.

Left 4 Dead is downright awesome with people you know in vent, on co-op v. the computer.  Unfortunately, in almost all other multiplayer scenarios, it loses its luster in a major way.  I would also be very wary of versus mode, a lot of people take that shit seriously and if you aren't "good" you're liable to get yelled at.  Least thats my experience.

Yeah...your prophecies are coming true. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone else who has the game.  Fortunately, single-player is cool, and it was only $10.

Fuck. I blinked, and the sale ended. Apparently today?

Sonofabitch! I really wanted them both, but $30 isn't worth it to me.

I got lucky and caught them both at just under 7 bucks each last night around 6:20 PM EST. Apparently, just in time before it went back up to normal price. That's the first time I've ever gotten in just before the uber sale ends as opposed to just after.

Yeah, it was one of the shortest midweek madnesses I've seen

Play all of the campaigns in single player before touching multiplayer or you will literally die alone when you go online because everyone will BLAZE past you.

Dude, for $10 the single-player campaigns alone are well worth the price.  I would have paid $10 each.  To get both for that price is pretty nice.  I'm digging it.  I need to get some friends who play this shit and then I bet it's rad as hell online.  With strangers it's kind of meh so far.

Damn, I wish I had known there was single-player. Serves me right for totally ignoring online multiplayer gaming, hah. Games look really cool but seem like they'd get old real fast once everyone+brother knows the maps backwards.

I still find it pretty fun after that due to the AI Director.

In a moment of what I thought was weakness, I bought the first one back when it was released for the Xbox. All my friends refused to buy it for PC, no matter how much I tried to explain to them that shooters on consoles are generally terrible. They wouldn't budge, so I had too. And in the end, it was the right thing to do. Playing with a group of 8 people you know was so satisfying I didn't even care about how gimped I felt using a controller. In other words, yes... you're right, it's awesome with friends.
