For a product that is supposed to be out in a few days the media hype level is depressingly low.

You anxious to see the review scores on "Get Fit with Mel B"?  Unless you have a pressing need to see how RE5 or Heavy Rain control with Move, the launch/near launch titles are pretty dismal.  Sorcery, the only Move game I've heard the media say anything positive about, doesn't have a release date yet aside from sometime in 2011.  Here's Gamestop's Move page for games and accessories.  I'm fairly sure after you look at it, you can understand the lack of hype.

The big Move games haven't hit, yet. In fact, I don't think Move is supposed to be big. It's just supposed to be there so Sony doesn't get lost in the shuffle. We'll see Sony's A-game soon enough.

What I have heard is that Sports Champions is a great Wii Sports clone with fewer, better games, and a hell of a lot less charm. I guess Sony forgot how to be cool :( Personally I'm excited for SOCOM 4, but only from a design standpoint. I still think that aiming and screen rotation should be separate, and hopefully Zipper Interactive gets that right.

Picked up the Sports Champions Bundle and Start the Party last night. All the games in Sports Champions are really well done; they've got considerably more depth to them than their Wii Sports (Resort) equivalent. Controls are generally responsive, although the camera did some strange things with the paddle during Ping Pong. Bocce, Gladiator, and Archery are probably my 3 favorite games of the bunch, although the latter two require two Move controllers to be fully enjoyed.

Start the Party is basically Mario Party without the board game trappings: you play through a series of minigames to earn stars, etc. The games are all pretty amusing, and you can do multi-player with only one Move controller: at the beginning of the game, it takes a picture of each player and has them record their voice. Then when it's their turn, it shows the picture and calls their name out to play. Nothing impressive, but kinda cool. The presentation is all pretty good too; while playing, the game shows you in the background. Whatever implement (Paint Brush, Hammer, etc) you're using for the game is shooped onto the ball of your Move controller so it actually looks like you're in the game. Again, nothing amazing but if you like motion controls and family titles, I'd pick this one up.

I'm really looking forward to The Fight (despite its stupid name), and I might try Heavy Rain out soon.

How tight is the Ping Pong play?

I'm awful at Ping Pong so I'm not the best judge, but my girlfriend said it was much better than the Wii Sports Resort one.
