Rrava roves you rong time

on: February 20, 2005, 11:55:36 PM

It premiered today.  I liked it.  It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty entertaining.  I laughed out loud.

In related news, I really didn't think that the Seth Green who does the voice of Chris on Family Guy was the same Seth Green we know from Buffy and Austin Powers.  But it is.  And he co-created this show.  Huh.

Anyways.  Anyone else watch it?  Other opinions?

For some odd reason the Cylon calamaties made me laugh.

A new Adult Swim show.

Unfortunately, I forgot all about it. I got distracted by the NBA All Star Game, among other things (btw, worst half time show in the history of sports ever).

Looks like it's replaying Thursday night though (btw everyone, watch the Venture Bros. as well  smiley)

Oh, ok... I've never even heard of it.  I'll try to remember to watch all this stuff someday.

If that's what I think it is (guys in clunky armor smashing into stuff) I was surprised to laugh at some of those too.  Two that especially got me: The one who mysteriously falls from above, the one headed toward the banana peel.

Also laughed at the girl hitting the dog with the frying pan.

Should point out now for those who don't know- this is all done with action figures... no dog was hit with a frying pan.

Robot Chicken was awesome. Much laughter ensued. Apparently, Seth Green is big time into the show, even doing some directing, set-building, whatever. He's not just that guy from Buffy. :)

Yes, those were Cyclons from the old Battlestar Galactica show.

I believe I laughed the most at the part where the Scarecrow gets shanked in prison.

Low humor, but first rate all the same.   It coaxed much more laughter than remorse out of me.  Helps they use action figures, which are fun to disfigure by default.

Thought it tried too hard in spots, but had good moments.  'Oz' was hilarious.  I thought the 'unfair fights' segment was hilarious.  Not a bad way to spend 15 minutes.

That's right! I forgot about the "World's Most One-Sided Fist Fights!" segment.  I cracked up at that.

Best 3 scenes:
Bo & Luke can't get their shit in order.
Lil' Kirk getting stuck in an elevator door.
The Cylons.

Fucking good show, can't wait for more.

The new episode is MUCH funnier. Voltron getting served and secrets of the animal kingdom are hilarious. The mongoose I have for an avatar is from it, as well as the greatest line ever spoken on cartoon network "Truly, the lemming is nature's retard."

I liked the first episode better, but the Voltron getting served was great.

"Ode to the Nutshot" made me giggle hysterically. Did anyone figure out what character Sarah Michelle Geller voiced?

The creators of the show said that Seth Green's involvement allows them access to a lot of celebrities that might not otherwise answer their phone call.

Just caught both episodes. Wickedly funny. Loved the Voltron got served bit. And the spin off of the heroin commercial got a good laugh out of me.
