Voodoolilly, I love you most of the time, but honestly - this movie sucked sweaty donkey balls.
It's like the casting director was went down to the local welfare office on welfare wednesday to look for actors, but had to reject most of the crack adicts because they weren't physically repugnant enough. Cast members who's looks make you want to lose your lunch isn't really a positive in my books, and then they go and put them in to drag.
It had some funny spots - Flight of the Conchords guy was actually pretty good - but this drek of a movie just kept going on and on.

There's a lot of poo poo in this movie. Avoid while eating dinner.

Hector Jimenez was aggressively unattractive in this film, true, but who gives a shit? The movie was funny. Plus the bad guy in the orange jumpsuit who tried to steal Rockwell's nuts was just on an episode of Oddities, which was its own form of awesome. The synchronous kind. I knew that it would be a tough crowd here since everyone hated Napoleon Dynamite, but I thought the vintage Sci Fi angle would save it. /shrug

I watched it last weekend since it came on demand for my HBO channel. Some of it was pretty funny my main complaint is it dragged on a bit to long.

Watched this on HBO last night (yay for not being able to sleep!). I liked what it was trying to be more than I liked what it was. The constant reuse of ideas/style from Napoleon Dynamite was a turn-off though.

I give them props for the Battle Stags, which are awesome. I like that the characters in these movies (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, Broncos) have a sense of creative expression that ranks on the level of a framed velvet Jesus. They're also always honorable, trusting, able to play well with others, and brimming with doubt and confidence. I can dig that.
