Yes, I have used steam through a bootcamp partition of windows. However I was looking for less hassle, and heard about crossover. It's not the most ideal way to play PC games while still in OSX, but i heard that Steam and valve games run excellent on it.
I downloaded the trial version and steam loaded up great right there on OSX (only the community features like forums and comments weren't working). I began downloading TF2 and Portal demos but stopped them short and never got around to trying it out before the 7 or 6 day trial was up.
So I'm wondering if any other mac users have had success with it? it's only $30 for the full version, but if it's unplayable or not as good as i've been hearing then i don't want to waste the money.
Please post your brief system spec and your findings and opinions.

It worked fine when I was experimenting with running OS X on my PC. After having used Wine in Linux for such a long period of time, the polish that Crossover has makes it a much better tool.
