protip: use the Friends window. I know, you really want to / command it.... but the game wasn't made for us.

Once they're on my friends' list I can manage, but I'd like to ask people "Um, do I know you?" before adding them.  (Not that it really matters since everyone seems to be added regardless of whether I accept of not... including accidental miss-clicks and so far I've only been able to remove one person.)

Fortunately I'm using a single name so people can at least tell me, and that gets a chat window started.

Last few days i have been playing, chat, and "Friends server" were down. It was, rather disappointing.

Considering you can move from server to server with no problems, not being able to add friends cross server was really annoying. 

I have to keep telling myself that the game isn't geared towards me/my demographic, but that doesn't mean it's not fun to play though.  Although, the current chat filter is completely whacked out.  I'm sure it'll be refined over time, but when Grimwell and I were playing last night, we kept running into censored words during a normal conversation about the game itself.  Still trying to figure out why "engine" would come up as "#####e" in chat.  And you can't talk about classes either, since "ass" gets blocked. It made for a few fun instances of trying to figure out what was blocked and why.

On the plus side, the chat stuff will improve. Long term, cross-server chat is likely on a 'do this when you can' list and catching things like 'Can you see me now?' jokes and making them 'Can you xxx xx xow?' for lulz could get fixed?

Slow growth stuff should help in those departments. In the meantime, I've moved to server 7 if anyone wants a partner.

We are a victim of our success. It's being worked upon, but yeah not fun when it is getting pegged hard. That's a bad sign of a good result (lots of folks hitting it).

Does server even matter in this game? can i just click on a friend and jump to them regardless of server? if not, why not?

You have to be on the same server, and both online, to add someone to friends or chat.  It's highly annoying and something I hope they fix soon.  Servers really need to become instances and allow people to hop between them seemlessly.

Anyone want to group for combat?  I have a 12 or so brawler, medic is 6 or so, everyone else is below 5.  I usually play on server 2.

Also, one can chat with friends on other servers, but one cannot make friends unless you're on the same server.

I randomly picked 7 when I was playing last night, obviously it is kismet. Right now I'm really only screwing around with the card game. Some of the minigames are cool enough, the ones that are actual puzzles, some of them are pretty lame - in particular the Nintendo DS style 'draw a line' and 'wiggle the mouse really fast' ones are dumb. (Oh and my dude is named Ingmar.)

It's cute and visually polished, but no invert mouse and the never-ending downloading are too much for me. I guess this is where they can play the "Oh, it's for kids too so we can't confuse them" card in not having what every other game since freelook was invented has had.

Well I tried it and now I am hooked as well. I usually play on Server 2 and would not mind talking to F13 people. I don't chat much in game, because...well.....

Dueling for certain, i have not adventured around enough to see any arena type stuff. Im sure you can play several of the games against others.

Dueling is in, it's one of the options if you click on another character. This is the only game I've ever actually accepted duels in, because there is no obsessive flow of 'must grind X' for me. So I humor anyone who challenges me. The duels are pretty fast and no loss/reward makes them fearless for folks. I'm undefeated to date. With more than one duel :)

You can do the card game against others too! Racing as well via the lobbies. Right now the lobbies are limited to the people at the same track as you, but I hope that some point in the future includes improvements there that give you fast access to a wider range of folks.
