This game is surprisingly fun. Maybe I got lucky with having a good commander, but overall the game has a lot going for it. I'll lay down the $10 just cause they deserve it.

Actually I think you can try each demon exactly one time before you are supposed to pay. But they usually appear only in the end game and are not THAT hard to kill. Except the Malk-thingies, but you need to buy 3 expensive parts (ca. 3k gold I think) and you need 25 kills to be able to spawn as one of those. If you had fun in the game, you should consider forking over those 9$ to give them a try. I could send you a referal |

Er on second thought no i won't... this game's netcode punishes people with a ping over 120 SO much. I live in Korea so only the Asia server (with noone online) has a ping under 100.

Worst part of this game is how they have "newbie" servers for accounts under level 10 and they have "normal" servers for everyone else. You cannot join the "newbie" servers - which are often full.
I bought this game when it came out, which I think was March-ish 2008 or 2007. I hit level 10 the second night of playing. I'm now level 12, currently, after not playing much beyond the first few weeks due to bugs.
So now, when I launch the game, there are 300 people online but only two servers with under a 120 ping for me - and i'm in the states! The west coast server that I ping 20 to is newbie only. My only choices are Texas at 65ms or NY at 115ms. Fan-fucking-tastic. Let's split up the tiny community that actually wants to play the fucking game and herd them onto servers where they have pitiful performance.
The CA newbie server is CONSTANTLY FULL LET ME, AND EVERYONE ELSE, PLAY THERE. IDIOTS.
