Caught this on sports talk radio during my lunch hour.  I'd buy this fund.

God, Mark Cuban is a fucking asshole. I'd love to have stumbled ass backwards into money by selling a dot.bomb company just before all the smart people realized what a scam some of these Internet startups were.

YEAH!  Screw Cuban in his ass!

...anyway,  after the past several years of watching my 401k stagnate in poor producing mutual funds, I would welcome anything new that might come along to give it back some of its bounce.  I thought the idea was interesting, but that there might end up being a conflict of interest.  The article hints around at there being some regulatory problems with a fund like this.

Would people only be able to invest if they lived in Vegas, or another city where gambling is legal?  Kind of a gray area akin to online poker.

I'd imagine that this would be considered an aggressive growth type fund.  I'd switch over the % of my investments that I make in aggressive funds into something like this if it became available.  Of course, I would like to learn more about it.  This article doesn't give too much in the way of details.

I know a couple of guys who more or less make their living playing poker, and if you staked them with a mutual fund's assets, they'd have a good chance of giving you a 200% ROI, which I'm pretty sure would get it a 5-star Morningstar rating.  (Interesting fact.  The players do not get better as the stakes get higher.  They generally get worse).
