Target had it on sale for $13.44 the day after Thanksgiving, so I had my wife pick it up for me. Anyone else play it yet? I have just played a few games, but it seems ok for the price. Not a fan of moving with the left thumbstick (as opposed to the keypad).

Had a blast creating a new player and assigning him to the Sonics. 6'11'', handles like a point guard, shoots 3s- basically Dirk Nowitski on crack. Good times.

Might be fun to play on Live if anyone else took the plunge and picked it up. Let me know.

Yeah, I play it. Still not as good as the NFL2K series, but it's much better than NBA Live. Great game overall, but there's one small thing about the Franchise mode that keeps me from playing it as much as I'd like (I still play multiplayer though):

It's kind of complicated, but league stats (PPG, RPG, APG) aren't very accurate. I have everything set up right, and simulate 12 minute quarters, etc., but at the end of seasons, the highest PPG (usually from McGrady or Iverson) is around 24. The Duncans, Shaqs, and Garnetts won't average any higher than 17-20, sometimes lower. That's bullshit.

So the problem is...The computer doesn't take enough shots with it's stars, and distributes the ball among team players just a little too much. The Duncans and Shaqs should be getting around 24 PPG, while shooting guards like Iverson, Kobe, and T-Mac are in the 28 range. Simulate a season and you'll see what I mean -- It's irritating to see Shaq and Duncan average 17 PPG.

There's one good thing about NBA Live that would solve this problem:  The "Primacy" rating (basically a "ballhog" rating). NBA Live simulates stats pretty well because of this (the only problem is that the rest of the game sucks).

Anyways, it sounds like a minor problem, but it's a major annoyance for simulation freaks. I've read plenty of other people bitching about it too, so I know it isn't just me. But there's nothing to do about it.

The rest of the game is great though (except Bill Walton).
