It is a shame, because I would love to hear candid talk on what happened behind the scenes, but I know it will never happen.
Join FoH, suck some dick, you never know.
I do not want to know that badly. I reserve such things for people I like. A lot.
(Before anyone asks: No, I do not like you that much.)
Well, on those guys you could probably get away with much, much less "pressure".
Why am I homeless? Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question. They called it The Prayer, its answer was law Mommy come back 'cause the water's all gone
EQ2 is actually doing pretty well. EQ1 is still (oddly enough) going. PS too (even more odd).
EQ2 is a decent game. I really wanted to like it at launch, but couldn't. Their dev team may be teh most under-rated in the industry, they've really put a nice shine on the game. Mmo is never perfect, but they've improved the game immensely without losing the basic feel.
EQ1 has such a massive amount of content, it'll keep going for years like a more successful version of M59. I wonder if SOE will eventually sell it off intact or just keep a small team to keep it going forever. It'd certainly make for a good place for the newb devs to cut their teeth.
PS? It's the UO of the mmofps genre. If you want to play mmofps, you're playing planetside, just like if you wanted mmorpg in 1997, you were playing UO. It's a decent game, but I sincerely hope it will get eclipsed by a better mmofps someday. Or that a genrebender comes out with fps combat. Or something.

I wish the PS team had more latitude and cash to do stuff with the game. But at this point, I'm waiting for Huxley to try and blend that combat mechanic with the "purpose" an RPG formula can bring to the game.
