Good Guy Ritchie film like Snatch? Or like Revolver?

Like Snatch. You thought Revolver was good?

No, that's why I wanted some clarification. Revolver made me want to punch Guy Ritchie in the dick. Then punch Madonna in the dick for good measure.

I saw this 12:01 Friday, and really enjoyed it.  Although to be fair, I don't see all the hate for revolver, maybe I need to watch it again, it was on the tail end of a 3-4 movie night.

Revolver took a great cast and what could have been an interesting story and wanked all over it. It tried to be some pretentious, overly-complicated exploration of the Id vs. the Ego or some other artsy shit, and failed miserably.

Well, it *was* Madonna's movie, Ritchie just had his name on it ...

There's one thing that Ritchie does better than anyone else in the industry right now, and that's monologues.
Fuck's sake, hearing Archie explain stuff is simply relaxing, as is watching the crackhead go on about the qualities of the stolen fur he's selling.
The dance scene was  why so serious?

The only thing this film lacks is Brick Top.

Revolver was good until they went overboard with the psycho shit. Could've written a better role for Liotta too. I know the man is desperate, but that doesn't mean that you have to copy his role in Goodfellas while putting him in a leopard thong.

Fuck forgot to bump this when I saw it.

Loved it.  Loved loved loved.  Yes I was a little high on wild turkey and painkillers for fun but it was quite good.  It doesn't seem that good at the start, but it by the end it is very fucking fun.

leopard thong.

lmao

Revolver was quite, QUITE horrible actually. I liked some of Richie's movies, but that was basically a series of "WTF's" in cinematic form. I remember watching the much maligned "The Mist" right afterwards, and me and everyone else thoroughly enjoying it. That's how bad Revolver was.

What was wrong with the Mist? It sure as fuck was a better movie than Revolver even if it was just Half-Life 2 from outside Black Mesa.

Well, actually, I'm saying that I liked the Mist. I just get the feeling that my perception is skewed, that no one likes it, and that the only reason why I liked it is that I watched Revolver beforehand.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I'd be willing to bet good money that people don't like the mist due to the headshotting ending. That's silly. That ending was awesome.

The mist was a pretty good film as schild said its pretty much like halflife for those who were not inside black mesa with worse visability.

Anyway, I don't particularly agree with it. It's an interesting angle on an unfortunately not so fantastic movie.

The movie had a certain straight to video feel to it - so I guess that's another reason why I feel guilty about liking it. There's also a hilarious scene where Tom Jane just keeps beating the shit out of some alien's carcass in a maniacal fit. It was hard to take it seriously afterwards.

Enjoyed RocknRolla. But Lock, Stock is the comparison, not Snatch.

Eh.  Either one will work for comparison, really.  RockNRolla was definitely a return to form, and yes, that dance scene was hilarious.  Gerard Butler was perfectly cast in his part.
