$5.99
Worth its own thread, imo.

Give me Lucca Blight or give me death, imo. A Suiko V is fine too.

I played it back in the day and still own it. I... never saw why anyone liked the thing. Communist choice questions are worse than no questions whatsoever.
Don't ask me yes or no questions if only one answer will let me move on.

I think I got halfway into the first Suikoden and got bored. I never got to play #2.

I really liked the first and loved the second. The rest of the series has left me cold.

Nope. I'd rather have no choices in a game than the easily broken illusion of one. Suikoden's non choices were insulting.

I loved the first and second, too. I still have the second because it's PAL and useless to everyone. The rest, including the NTSC second one, I gave to my nephew who also loved them - well, mostly the first and second.

Nope. I'd rather have no choices in a game than the easily broken illusion of one. Suikoden's non choices were insulting. Suikoden had plenty of choices in party build and your castle and all that crap, and my point was that non-choices in conversations have been entrenched within JRPG's since time began. Do you agree? Yes > No But you must understand! JRPG's are always trying to lead you down a directed path, with the matter of choice left on whether or not you do the sidequests and get the uber weapons or build that full town with casino. Non-choices in conversations are not unique to Suikoden, not by a long shot. Do you agree? > Yes No

To be fair, that problem was largely fixed in Suiko 2, where they also added a completely awesome cooking event. Also: Lucca Blight . Then they fucked it with suiko 3, and fucked it even worse with 4.

Suikoden had a character named Blackman
who was
a black man
who was a farmer
and attacked people with a hoe.
That is worth $5.99.

I own 1 and 3. Played and beat 4 and 5 (a friend let me borrow them) but I didn't like them enough to buy. 2 is really rare I guess.
