Not sure if this is New Topic material, but I didn't want to derail the Crichton thread.

Morat mentioned Terry Goodkind in the thread about Michael Crichton, mostly along the lines of what an asshole he is. Google searches turn up not much but angry fans who can't write fanfic of his works, so that's getting in the way of my Academic Research. I did manage to find a passage where he claims that he doesn't right fantasy, even though he has wizards and dragons etc. Considering "The Seeker" has now premiered, what exactly is it that Terry Goodkind is and does that makes him so reviled in the community?
