I thought this was kind of a cool box - VoiP, email, web, PBX, file server all in one. Anyone have any experience with these kind of things? A buddy is thinking about something like this for his small biz.

Why do I want it?

Sutus Business Central gives your company the tools it needs to project the professional image necessary for success in today’s competitive world.

    * Customers can connect with you when and how they want.
    * Your employees will be able to work together effectively no matter where they are located.
    * Most important, the system is easy enough to use that your employees will actually use it!

I'm not sure they know why you want it. Their Marketing Folks are GENIUSII.

You would be better off signing up for a hosted PBX service, like Onebox,  and getting a generic wireless router.

At my company I built our own "all-in-one" box we call Virtual Office. There is way too many applications / softwares / stuff available to buy a package like this. 50% of the shit will probably be useless to you. Customdesign one to your business needs. I recommend checking out some software like Mindquarry, Adobe Connect etcetra and I'm sure you got one guy who knows some basic programming who can put all these in one application so its easy to access just by icons in a fancy toolbar or a website portal which connects everything.

Customdesign one to your business needs.
That assumes he knows how to do that. Most small business don't have somebody that can put together such a system "from scratch".

Well this be true. However I remember when I started looking at these services finding some great ones, will try to dig up the links again to them.

If you do not want to be the guy they contact when their phones stop working, here are my suggestions for a normal office:

Multi-line VoiP with PBX:

Phones:

email:

web:

file server:

Internet router:

If it is a business with multiple locations, get Vonage lines and Onebox to handle the PBX.
