I found no topics on this. Is anyone planning on getting this? How important would prior Tales experience be in your opinion?

The Tales series is like RPGs for dummies. Like all the previous, the helpful hints will last a while and they're all largely based in their own universe. You can pick up the series anywhere as they're all disconnected. Anyway, I probably won't get it simply because they seem to be off their game every other release. And this is the one following Abyss.

I'm debating it.  There's a lot coming out in the next month or two, though, that'll be taking up a lot of my time.
