I'll be buying a HDD from this store (their B&M one). Is this the one to go for? If not, which?

Although I own a raptor and think it is the shit, I am not a big fan of western digital drives.  If you want big and dependable get a seagate.

I've got the 500Mb OEM version of same drive.  Had it running for about 3 months now - no problems, runs quiet (or at least quieter than the case fan), and seems pretty quick.

SATA2 - check
7200 rpm - check
price - check
quick google to make sure it's not a buggy pos - check

It's a brand new model so reports are still trickling in on it. WD is my preferred HD brand of choice at the moment. They finally got around to making their drives quiet to go along with their top notch performance. Seagate drives, in comparison, seem to get slower with each revision.

I still have a 5+ year old WD HDD still running like a champ in my system.

I have the RAID Edition of that drive, but with 500GB capacity. Nice and quiet. And fast.

Bought and Bought. My wife's PC had to go into the shop to get a new case, so I'm getting them to throw one of those in as well. Picked one up for my own box as well while I was at it.
