What are the details of the actual law? I mean, can you not be "allowed" to watch anything but G movies and listen to Pat Boone albums or something? Or does it only apply to what residents actually say?
And what qualifies as "cussing" with anyways? Can I say "butt", but not "ass"? Can I exclame "shoot!", but not "shit!"? And why..? What the fuck is the difference?

It's just a proclamation that March 3-7 is "No Cussing Week". Like, cities who declare day x as "American Idol Day" for contestants that come from there? It's not an ordiance. The council also proclaimed March 14 as "Ray Bradbury Day". Not like that means people can only read Fahrenheit 451. Calm the fuck down.

American Idol Day?
Sort of - it was named after whatever finalist was from some town. Last year I think. It was actually named Kelly Clarkson Day, or whatever that contestant was, because of their participation in Idol. My town proclaimed a "Stephen Colbert Day" when he came to visit not long ago. City Councils do this stuff all the time. In this case, a 14y kid said at a council meeting that he thought it would be swell if they could have a no cussing week. Hey, teenager is all civic-like and asking people to be nice. There's a teen left who ISN'T a hormonal anti-social raging asshole? Sure, we'll endorse that. Stamp. |
