Two of THQ’s most promising titles in 2007 were Stuntman: Ignition and Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights. Both titles were received rather well critically, but commercially both titles sold sub par. THQ has revealed in their fiscal 2008 outlook that they have decided not to pursue the Stuntman and Juiced IPs. So while THQ still owns the IPs, there will be no further Stuntman or Juiced titles coming out. http://investor.thq.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=96376&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1099383&highlight=For the fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2007, the company increased revenue guidance to approximately $509 million from $490 million, reflecting better-than-expected sales of WWE(R) SmackDown(R) vs. Raw(R) 2008 and MX vs. ATV(TM) Untamed. However, the company expects to report approximately $20 million in accelerated amortization expense related to the underperformance of certain previously-released games, including Stuntman(R):Ignition(TM), Ratatouille and Conan(R). In addition, consistent with the company's previously-announced quality initiatives relating to product development and its product pipeline, the company expects to record non-cash charges of approximately $27 million related to: 1) the cancellation of the PlayStation(R) 3 (PS3) version of Frontlines(TM): Fuel of War(TM) and the PlayStation(R) 2 (PS2) version of Destroy All Humans!(R): Big Willy Unleashed; ----- As I understood it, Juiced was pretty much the same as NFS: Underground. I (tried to) play the first Stuntman, but it really didn't seem like a very good game. Worse than Driver in fact. And Conan is just a God of War ripoff.

Dear THQ,
Please help Volition secure the rights to make FreeSpace 3, and let Relic start on Homeworld 3.
Also, be good to Big Huge.
kthx, Chris

Man, that's kind of sad on a personal level. My friend did some voicework and mocap for Juiced 2. No idea about the game though, I don't buy arcadey racers.
That Conan game THQ released was a pile of dog crap, not surprised it lost money. Only joy I had in the demo was hearing Claudia Black and Ron Pearlman's voices. Of course, that was offset by how terribly miscast they were and just how bad the game was. It played like God of War drowned in a sea of mollasses with additional features that just made it not fun.

As long as they don't discontinue Titan Quest sequels, I'm cool with it.

The original Juiced was a decent game. It's biggest failing was the difficulty level. You'd be racing along, winning fairly handily and all of a sudden run into a fucking brick wall of hardness. Don't know if they fixed that in Juiced 2, but I really liked the original until the grind set in.

Sequel, right... Anyway right now IronLore is making the new WH40K expansion cash in (give us a sequel bitches). One can hope that after that is done they might let them work on something Diablo-ish but given the fact that right after the expansion pack hit shelves they totally dropped support/further patches for TQ, doubtful.

Well, I can't fault more 40k armies joining the DoW fold, at least. Relic not working on it though? Interesting...

One can hope Relic is working on bigger and better things. Homeworld 3 / DoW 2 OR BUST! And according to a post over on the titanquest.net forums. The guys at Ironlore actually have RTS experience, more so then RPG even. Or here, I dig the post up just for you. Linky
