I'm looking for a corp who owns a PoS that will set me blue long enough to create a jumpclone at their station. No more than a day or two. If anyone could point/introduce me to someone who could help, I would be appreciative.

I don't have a lot of money, so free would be best, otherwise I guess I could find a payment plan. I don't really know what kind of price services like this would fetch, but I would be really surprised if no one offered this. It seems pretty lucrative.

I believe there is a corp in 0.0 space that keeps a POS with a clone vat specifically for this service. IIRC they charge about 5m for permanent blue status.

5m isn't a terrible price, I guess, all things considered. Whooooooo is it?

I'm working myself into quite a debt, it's going to be a lot of mining and ratting to pay off implants, advanced skill books, and jumpclones.

Mining sucks as an income stream unless you have a hulk, T2 strip miners and some friends to ferry your cans and guard your ass against ore thieves.

Mission whoring with salvaging is the best money maker for people who mostly only have combat skills. If you can do level 4s they are often worth 50m a pop all said and done. Even L3s wil net several million.

Saw "Cavtrooper" advertising jump clones for 10m + 100K ISK each, with a few restrictions.  Don't know anyone who has done business with him, but there seem to be quite a few satisfied customers on the thread.  A recent update says he's out through 28 Dec, though.

POS != station.

POS consists of a tower and one or more modules fitted to it. It has CPU and grid like a ship.

A station is where you dock and install clones.

That acronym doesn't seem well thought of to me. If you can't dock then why is it a station? How about renaming it to Service Operation Base - SOB.

_If_ you can make it into EC-P8R without dying the station there will let anyone setup a jump clone for 100,000 ISK (pretty sure thats the price)

If you dont have much experience running 0.0 gate camps I suggest jumping through right before downtime (so if needed the server will go down before your gate cloak expires) and log in as soon as the server comes back up to maximise your chances

Unless theres a bubble camp getting back into Torrinos is easy (make a bookmark as you warp away from the gate to the station and scan the gate from there before warping to it)

POS = player-owned structure

You cannot dock, but some (or all) of the in-station services are available, provided you're inside the shield bubble and have permissions.

Anyway, they won't rename it, "POS" is too widely used.

My problem is that I'd be running through with the implants so there is an awful lot of risk. I could definitely shuttle through right before downtime, since they basically warp+align instantly, no?

Shuttles warp and align very fast but not instantly. Pods are instant but that won't help you if there's a bubble up.

All you need is a noob alt, log em in...Jump in...If bubble, try in an hour. If not, log your main and haul ass.

Gah, I didn't know you needed 8.0 standing with the station to make a jump clone, and thought you just needed the skills.  So I went ahead and bought several million ISK in implants for may main, thinking I would train a jump clone shortly.  So now I guess I'll just see if I can grind my way up to 8.0 with Caldari navy.  Was going to work my way up to L4 missions in my raven anyways to try to bring in cash.

BTW, I only seem to get a couple 100k per L3 mission.  Granted, thats not counting the sale value of any of the loot I get, but I don't think most of its that terribly great.  Is there something I'm doing wrong?  I just started salvaging (didn't exist when I last played), not sure how well that stuff sells.  Oh, and speaking of which, can somebody explain to me how the fuck rigging works?  I can't find info on it easily.  How do I add riggings to my ship once I've salaved all sorts of parts?

AND as yet another aside, is it actually profitable to attempt to Hulk mine in empire?  I actually have the skills to fly a hulk, with T2 strip miners, and even T2 crystals (for the low end empire ores, not good 0.0 ores yet).  Before I try to invest in a hulk and equipment, is it even worthwhile outside of 0.0 (low sec is out of the question, to much gankage)?

Salvaging is worth it. Stuff like Alloyed Tritanium bars are 300k a pop, Melted Capacitor Circuits are 500K+. get yourself some basic trade skills so you can have a bunch of sell orders on the go (just a few hours worth will do) and make sure you're getting market value for your stuff not the buy order prices.

Rigging is like implants for your ship. Once you fit a rig, you can't remove it intact. You need the Jury Rigging skill to fit a rig and you may need other rigging skills depending on the type of rig. You can make rigs with stuff that you salvage (which is why that stuff is valuable) or buy them from the market. Ships normally have 3 rig slots and a variable amount of calibration. Calibration is basically the 'value' of rigs that you can fit, each rig has a calibration requirement which reduces the total calibration available once fitted. Unless you have decent industry skills, I'd sell your salvage and just buy your rigs. Remember that if your ship dies the rigs are automatically lost so I wouldn't rig anything you're likely to take into PvP unless you are crazy rich.

Ah, cool, thanks for the info.  I guess my next question is, where under the market menu are the salvage components and the finished riggings located?  I was looking around for them the other night and couldn't seem to find them.  Probably just being stupid...

Ship Modifications for the actual rigs themselves, Salvaged stuff is under raw materials, I don't remember the exact names of all the levels in the directory tree but if you dig around in the area where all the ores, alloys and weird stuff is, you'll find salvage items too.

I have a question on jump clones, if I get a clone with a corp and then my faction drops below 8.0 do I lose access to that clone, or is that I just can not make any more jump clones with them until I get my faction up again?

The second one. Once you have a jump clone you can move it anywhere, it'a basically an alt of you in a different place. It isn't tied in anyway to the station where you created it any more than your original character is. Obviously if it's parked at a station that then sets you to a low standing you may have a lot of fun getting it out of there.

I have an alt in a Provi corp that I keep there for the specific purpose of cycling my characters through to get them jump clones.  For that reason I have personnel director rights.  They don't know about my main being GF, not because it's GIA stuff (it's not: who gives a fuck about tiny amarr roleplayer alliances?) but just because I enjoy not having all that war stuff and helping noobs instead, sometimes.

Anyway, speak to me ingame and I'll get you to a jumpclone station there, which charges some nominal fee for their members.  I'll even scout you there, although the tri camps aren't all that tricky to bust if you're not dumb: I've been moving pos fuel back and forth in a badger II and, apart from getting tackled twice, I've had no problems (although I had to do the hide-inside-the-gate trick once to avoid being ganked by a solo vaga).

My little one man manufacturing Corporation has good enough faction with the Gallente Navy that if anyone wants to join up for a few minutes and get a clone or two they're welcome.
