There is a new reality TV show from MTV premiering later this week, or next week. The show is called Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. LinkThis is a show where they did a sort of Real World type (I think) they followed several of the super trendy popular kind from the high school around. This is going to be a unmitigated travisty. Seeing as I live in Laguna, and MTV had their offices in the same building I work in, we got to watch them filming a lot. Man, these poor kinds are going to come off as the most spoiled brats ever. The sad part is, its probably true. So, if you guys want to see a train wreck, check this out. Hell, you might even see me wander through a few frames while the girls are at Heidleburgs (Our local coffee shop). |

Is much more glamorous when the bratty 18 year old passes out from to much drinking and drugs with the beach as a backdrop.

Man, I love Laguna. I didn't like a lot of southern cali, but there's a great rope swing and tree forts that were in the hills behind some at&t building, iirc. Growing up a NY hick, I love rope swings, though not having water to jump into kinda takes some of the fun out.
Reality tv shows? Who's watching that tripe? Do people's lives really suck so bad they are willing to throw away hours like that? Then again, I'm a discovery channel snob, if I'm wasting time planted on la sofa, I want to at least learn something while I'm there.
And finally, there should be a consitutional amendment to remove the m from mtv, imo. All hail the new king, fuse.

My friends and I used to go there to smoke pot while cutting classes in high school. They built a dog park right in front of it. I cant tell you the funny looks we got while running through the dog park with a 3ft bong under one arm. |
