Just saw some stuff on this game tonight. I'm really not a racing game guy, but I loved me some Sega Rally back in the day.. in fact reading that makes me want to fire up the old DC.. except I need to go to sleep (damn work).
Demos for both Revo and Dirt are up on Live, so you can compare the two - personally I much prefer Dirt, but that game had the misfortune of releasing right after/against Forza 2.
DiRT had the misfortune of not being as good as Forza 2, as well. In my opinion, of course.

It's by the Colin McRae guys, but they enlisted Travis Pastrana (of X-Games fame) to do a lot of the commentary and basically be the 'face' of the game for the US this time around. I think it's 'Colin McRae Dirt' in other markets.
