Nifty. Originally ran into this through the CAD website though, and who doesn't love CAD?

As long as they don't announce that it'll be delayed, I'm happy.

Yea, I watched it on CAD also. That shit is completely gorgeous. Me want.

I like the trend started with the Mad World Gears of War trailer also.

Yeah I'm excited about this one. Some of the climbing and combat scene's look fucking amazing. The crowds and the whole blend in or push through stuff could be fun. Suspect the PS3 will be (should be) better at that sort of large group AI stuff - be interesting to see how it all works out.

Speaking of marketing, we're out of milk.

We're talking about that woman on this project again, aren't we ?

In seriousness, I keep getting interested in 'the twist' that everyone's talking about.

There's this picture of the Game Over menu which shows some interesting stuff. Whether or not that's the final menu is beyond me.

The gameplay is more or less Splinter Cell-esque, except that we're not saving the U.S. anymore, right?

I rather like assassinating people Hitman style.

Seems like Ubisoft announced a PC-version during the last Ubidays in Paris.

At least according to a few German sites: http://www.exp.de/showspecial.php?aid=all&id=732&pagenr=3

My PC will not run Assassin's Creed, so buying a 360 is a cheaper solution.

Also, Mass Effect. keke

Some interview stated that the events in Assassin's Creed were "real" and that it's "not the matrix" and "not really time travel."

So my guess is that the assassin guy is being brought back from the dead in the future and those are his memories.

But I can still sneak around and disembowel people, right?

Yeah, this + Mass Effect might actually be a system-seller for me, if the 360's price-point drops another $50-$100 in the next 6 months.

Of course, there's still this giant pile of PS2 and PC games to play, so... maybe not. undecided

Awesomeness! ANd I'm just in the process of buying something that may be able to run it. And Ubi don't use the virtual herpes anymore! Hurrah!

And then afterwards, you can play games, instead of slinking away while feeling dirty.

I'll be interested in this game after the first "Video game teaches childen to convert to Islam and kill Christians" headlines.

It's funny that you bring that up, because I was just thinking about how this game could, in theory, teach a tiny bit about ancient Islamic culture.

Incidentally, of course. I'm still waiting for people to jump all over the game for pitting a Muslim against "holy, righteous" Christians.

You're of course ignoring Islam's long tradition of conquering by the sword, considering that most of the middle east, all of north Africa, and Spain were Christian lands conquered by Islam, and the inhabitants of those regions were still majority Christian even up to the Crusades.  I call the Crusades payback, bitches.

And for the record, many crusaders were very much "holy, righteous" guys, particularly the king of France, St. Louis the Pious.  Of course my favorite crusader was Frederick II Hohenstauffen, Holy Roman Emperor.  He "conquered" Jerusalem (actually cut a deal with the sultan of Egypt) while technically excommunicated by the Pope and eventually had actual crusades called against him.  Interesting guy, Frederick.

Well.  There's a splash graphic on top of F13 that's been there for ages that I thought was from the 'original', and I've always wondered what game that was from.  Looks the same, it's the header with the guy in the white hood on the left and some guy in a helmet on the right (I'll get a screenshot the next time I see it).  And also, I've seen the Assassin guy used on other forum signatures for quite a while; at least two years now.

Maybe it just looks like it, coincidence or whatever.

Or maybe I'm thinking of Thief?

Hell, I don't know.

It's been there for awhile, but that shot has also been out for awhile. Assassin's Creed has sorta been in development for awhile.
