Skinny-dippin' in a sea of Lee, I'd propose on bended knee...

Nyko sent out a press release today talking about their new speakerphone for the xbox. On one hand it would be nice to not have something sitting on my head but I'd worry about more background noise going out along with what I say. I guess I'll have to wait for some reviews to make up my mind on it.

Here's a link to the actual product page.

It would certainly be worthwhile for those times where you aren't the only one in the room. Mu buddies and I have gotten together and taken turns playing Tiger Woods 2004 online....it's kind of annoying that whoever is wearing the headset has to relay messages to the online opponent.

If they do one for PS2, it'll be on my shopping list.

Bring the noise.
Cheers..............

Interesting. I think I'd prefer the headset, as I don't often have other people in the room with me when I play X-Box online.

Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

God Damn, knew I should've written that idea down.

When I had TopSpin and NFL2k4, me and my buds always used to play, and it was annoying to talk trash w/out both of us being able to participiate.

So me and my buds came up w/ this grand idea to rewire the headset to have a speakerphone and mic (like a conference call phone).

Of course, being natural slackers (and great ones at that) it never amounted to anything.

Team Xbox has posted a review of this speaker.

Nyko brings us yet another innovative product that solves the headset dilemma that many of us gamers have. There are some that take gaming a bit more serious than others, so we don’t expect the SpeakerCom to be their accessory of choice. Those who like to play more for fun will want to reconsider buying any kind of cellular headset before they check out Nyko’s latest innovation. You may find a much more logical answer to your Communication woes, and save a bundle of loot in the process.

Making that mute button huge was a great step. I may actually purchase XBox live soon to get some golf action in - I'll have to buy the game too though...sigh, damned mod chips have spoiled me.

if you have a mod chip, be sure to pick up an XBox while you're out buying Links.
