Oddly enough, I feel this is another one of those games that would be better on a console controller with dual analog sticks. Using the KB for either aiming or movement is clumsy at best.
Still a pretty cool game. Are bullethell games making a comeback or something?

Yeah, it's pretty sweet, and I think I would be able to get higher than 600k or so with a controller. Picking up powerups while using the keyboard to move is a Bitch.

Best I get so far is 1.2 million.. Level 10 is where things get totally insane, with the sun enemy appearring. I use a dual analog controller, and yeah, I can't imagine trying to play this without one.
One interesting trick though - if you ram the purple rocks, you get damaged, but your weapon gets upgraded. It's generally easy to fully upgrade your weapon in the first stage by running into rocks, then by level 7 where it starts to get somewhat difficult, you've gotten enough health powerups to get back to full.
