Average people don't need 64-bit, plus it's hardly standard in the household. I suddenly find myself in posession of a WinXP Pro 64-bit CDROM (yes, with a key) but I just don't have any desire to try it out.
Why am I homeless? Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question. They called it The Prayer, its answer was law Mommy come back 'cause the water's all gone
I never moved to XP because of the licensing bullshit (even though I have never upgraded mobo and cpu without buying a new machine anyway). I have been using the same win2kpro disks I bought on ebay in 2001 for my last 3 PCs and the only complaint I have is the inability of the OS to do partitions > 120GB, which is a minor inconvenience only.
Looks like I will be skipping the XP cycle completely and going to Vista in Sep/Oct 2007 when I likely get a new machine. Well, if I even need a new machine. I don't see any MMOGs on the horizon that tempt me to upgrade right now and I am still running an AGP card. In fact, Planetside probably won't even run on Vista given that it was released when win98 was still popular.
