If they were smart, they would bundle a decent gamepad with a special edition.

Worldwide rankings? Persistant stadiums? Able to watch from the crowd and have your character IN the crowd? Able to set up shop and sell soccer mechandise?
There are a thousand ways to make this an MMOG even with the heavily persistant actual gaming.
Are you telling me Puzzle Pirates isn't an MMOG because ships are capped to like 9 people or something?

Well I can't see the details about the game since the Flash shit ain't working for me but, for example, I don't consider BF2 an MMOG even though it has persistent stats and rankings. I also don't consider a game like Guild Wars an MMOG but we've had this discussion before so I won't rehash it here. |

An Online game. Which is Massively Multi-player. Whew. That was tough! Here is one for you: When the standard online game has today's "massive" numbers, how many orders of magnitude greater does the next generation need to be considered Massive? |
