Almost put this in useless videos, but it's videogame related. Watch someone try to play Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 on the PSP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH3dc7IZVPc&search=psp%20load%20timeNote: I own a PSP, this game has to have some amazingly shoddy programming or simply make the PSP do too much. None of the titles I own are anywhere near this bad. And I thought Stuntman was horrible. |

It's a console, only, you know, smaller.
You can't expect much else from a platform with insufficient ram. I assume the link shows it even worse than usual (link is down atm), but this is pretty much how I feel when I am subjected to anything at all on a console. /shrug

Load times are definately a UMD read issue more than a RAM issue. Playing a game off the memory stick (we're talking UMD ISOs here) is about 700% faster. UMD drives suck. But then, I'm getting load screens everywhere it seems lately. I've been playing Riviera, Sigma Star Saga and something a rather else, and they all have well hidden load screens (well, 2 of them are blended into the game well). And those are GBA cartridges.

I don't get how anyone could put up with that. By the time the match loaded I'd be chucking the UMD in the trash and putting Lumines back in. |

Wow, that's really awful. I remember getting pissed off at Kotor's constant loading screens for every damn room in the game, but that PSP thing makes it look tame.
