Breaking useless news on the 11:00 news here in Cinci. No link, as it's on the TV.
It seems Juno has been mailing new-member offer cards to various places in Cinci. First problem: The addressee isn't "Mr. & Mrs. <insert so and so>" it's "Dumbass". Second problem: The validation codes you're supposed to enter to sign-up are all racist or hate speach messages. The ones that were shown (partially blurred-out) were "KillFuckingNiggers666" and "FuckingKillJews2".
A few homeowners called Juno to ask what was going on, and Juno proceeded to say, "Uh, we'll look into it, just don't call the media." So of course that was the second place they called. When Channel 5 called the Juno number to see if this might be someone with access to cardstock and a printer's idea of a 'practical joke' they found the codes were in fact valid. Whoopsie. The guy was in a call center in India, however, and couldn't transfer them to upper management. Calling Juno's HQ, they didn't get a response beyond, "these were part of a mass mailling, we're investigating as it appears to have been an internal problem."
The past cannot be changed. The future is yet within your power.
