There's nothing to say about this week. A bunch of stuff got delayed and spread out over the next month. Here's what's left.

SOCOM 3 (PS2)
Rag Doll Kung Fu (PC): Go go team "30 minutes of novelty."
SSX On Tour (PSP/PS2): I guess it's good a fun game is coming to the PSP.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS): The best reason, this week, to be a gamer.
Romancing Saga (PS2): Remake of the old version complete with all the balance problems. Yay! Bleh.
Devil Kings (PS2)

Next week is spectacular. It almost makes up for this week. I may actually get some writing done now.

Next week is AoE3, FEAR, and Quake4. This week is... well, the week before AoE3, FEAR, and Quake4.

I picked up Space Rangers over the weekend at Fry's. (only place in the US that stocks it at the moment) and it's probably the best PC game I've played in the last 2 years.

Starforce though, but I have quarantined my gaming machine for this purpose alone.

It's "Space Rangers DVD Edition" - not Space Rangers 2. The DVD comes with both the first and second SR for $40.

I like that you put a one liner that sort of sums up your feelings after each game.  I'd love to see you have, maybe, a pick  of the week where you go a wee bit more in depth.  Maybe the ones that make the most impact on the market, or the lesser known gems, could get a proper review.  I do like where this is all going, though.

I like this direction too.  My only suggestion at this point would be to put these in a separate directory, or whatever it's called on a forum, so I don't have to actually use the search function.  Because sometimes I want to look back and make sure I have not forgotten about something good once I do break down and decide to blow some money on games.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

A seperate forum with topics for each week, something like a game reviews/releases/revisits. 'Cause I know I'm not the only one who randomly breaks out Freespace 2 to play through it every 6 months or so. Talking about revisiting stuff might spark some old interest or promote a new purchase from someone who never tried it.

And reviews/releases for speculation and hate!

I used to do this with //.hack/Infection but I think Star Ocean 3 might replace it.  I hate SO3 but I really want to finish it.

The week was, by the way, the calm before the storm. I shit you not when I say over the next 2 coming weeks there are at LEAST 9 titles I want to play through. Have I told you all I love this time of year?

I'm just dying for a new game that lets me build...stuff. So I guess AoE and Civ will have to do for now (not that I really mind! I'd just prefer something less combat centric atm). B&W2 won't get my money, and the Movies is still a ways off.

[edit]

Oh yeah, and X3. Hopefully it won't be the broken English laden, buggy, confusing heap that was X2....But either way, I'm still buying it.

Soul Calibur 3...Not as fun without friends or roomates around, but oh well. I'll probably get it too.

Ok. How do I uninstall it. I'm going to try and return Space Rangers to Fry's. I'm so pissed off that I somehow forgot. Sigh.

Edit: I just sent the gentlemen at Excalibur an evil email. Growl.

So far i've not had any trouble with the starforce shit on it. I had a catastrophic failure with Xpand Rally about a year ago, but this one seems cool.

Yeah, 6 hidden devices show up, all starforce bullshit. Why they need 6 I have NO idea. TCP/IP for instance uses ONE.

Starforce? 6. Brilliant design.

Oh yeah I forgot the uninstall stuff.

Grabbed from http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_4.html

1. Open a Command Prompt by going to Start>Run and typing "cmd" (without quotes). Once the MS DOS prompt is open, type the following lines, pressing return after each:

Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

Devmgmt.msc

Note, you can type "exit" (without quotes) in the MS DOS prompt window to close it at any time after this.

2. In the Device Manager window that opens, go to the View menu and select 'Show Hidden Devices' - this is very important if you want to see the unused devices. Now expand each of your devices and look through all the sub-components listed. You will see that some of the devices are shown in a lighter grey color.

-----

Expand "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" and you should find the starforce shit in there.

I have already started storyboarding "Furrest Hump" in anticipation. It is a moving story about a retarded sexual deviant and his adventures through history.

The Hedgehog would be great for that role.

And hire Lloyd Kaufman to direct.

Perfect shit.

I am firmly of the opinion that The Movies will be used to create more pr0n than Rockstar Games could ever hope to dream up.
