Three New Realms Available! | 8/23/2005 12:55:48 PM PDT

There are three new realms available for play: Detheroc and Wildhammer, both PvP realms, and Staghelm, a new PvE realm. Enjoy!

Where's my RP-PVP? Bitches.

EDIT: It's not like they have to make any functional changes to the goddamn servers anyway. All the server-side rules are the same as on a regular PVP server. Unless they are training GM staff.

Yeah, I know. Just thinking that made me chuckle.  roflcopter

I thought it would be a month or so... though I don't remember why I thought that.

I agree. All they have to do is slap the RP tag on it, and be a bit more strict on their policing of names and idiots.

I just counted servers....Wow, that's 105 now, and only 30 are showing up as "Low" atm (most likely they fluctuate between medium and low?). I wonder when they're going to start having to look outside of Warcraft lore in order to give future servers their names?

Soon after the "Crazy Cat-Lady" server goes live, I'd wager.

I wouldn't hold a lot of stock in the server load measures.  I tried logging into Whisperwind and found a queue (Med load) then I tried Icecrown (Full) and got in first try.  Go figure.

What time for Whisperwind?  I haven't had a queue there for over a month.

The server names might be fubared but the loads were correct. :P

I wasn't saying you are wrong, I really wanted to know.  That server may be getting loaded at certain times.  I was just curious.

When they opened Frostmane and allowed a bunch of folks from Frostwolf to jump to it, there was a significantly noticeable drop in queuing and other server issues on Frostwolf. We used to read High almost all the time, and now that it's almost always Low, it's a much better logging-in experience.

Just opening more servers helps in general.  Whisperwind never had a transfer program, but when the other servers got added, our queue went away for good.  We're still a very full server, but I do not have any log-in issues outside of the ones everyone has from time to time.
