If anyone cares. ;)

Which my guess means they just started booting up.

I keep getting an error when I log in (incorrect password/user name). I have reset my password, but no dice so far. Anyone else experience this?

It's been doing that ever since beta ended - I assume it means the authentication server is down.

Wow- elegant solution to that. God forbid someone takes 5 seconds to write a new error message.

Glad I am not getting scumbagged...I was about to set fire to Best Buy in protest =P

Can you set fire to the fuckers anyway? They stole 5 years of my life away. (Yes, I worked for the big blue machine for 5 years)

Maybe it's a good thing I have to go to work today.  Looks like Catass2Victory is turning into Catass2LogIn right now.

And so City Of Heroes begins as many MMORPGs have, with a dehabilitating login server failure.

Will the issue be solved promptly, an quickly forgotten months later?

Or will this issue persist for months, killing the potential of this otherwise stellar game?

Time will tell.  Time will tell.

While waiting, I found the javascript code used for server status updates.  CoH appears to update it automatically, rather than manually (SWG does it manually-that's really fucking slow)

Code:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.coh.com/servers/server_stat.js"></script>

Could be handy for anyone making a guild web page, fan site, or whatever.

I think I'll go to my catass2victory backup plan-- take a shower and get some lunch.

It on only counts on Wednesday :)

And yea, I wish they'd had changed that message on the login info being invalid. They should have known folks were going to hope to get lucky before noon today.

So camping the login server like I was trying telephone course registration in college 15 years ago until my daughter wakes up.

Doh!

Ah well. Wasn't meant to be. See ya all in 6 hours.
