The World's Worst Game: Curry or Covid

on: May 17, 2005, 12:13:59 PM

http://newegg.com/

They're having a One-Day sale on shit. The first item that caught my eye was a nice big WD HDD.

Just thought I'd give people a heads-up if they needed a good deal on some components.

EDIT: In other news, my Rio Karma is taking its sweet ass time getting here. I wish they would have shipped it out of their NJ warehouse.

I live in Edison where their NJ warehouse is, and it still takes 1-2 days when something ships from there.  It seems to leave the Edison FedEx sort facility, go up to Newark and come back to Edison for delivery.  I am tempted to call them and ask if I can just take 10 mins and drive over to pick up the damn thing.

Thanks Strazos, now I have a new Audigy2 card and a 10ft DVI cable on the way. Jerk.

They actually shipped mine from their warehouse in CA (I'm in Denver) the night that I ordered (yesterday) and will probably get here tomorrow with their 'shipping saver' ($4.99) option. Pretty good if you ask me!

I got my Rio Karma this morning, and I'm loving it. I thought the feature that makes the dock pulse in rythem with the music was kinda neat.

Still in the process of ripping the rest of my music (at least, the albums that will permit it) so that I have everything ready to go when I head up to JFK Int'l this Sunday.

Thanks for the suggestions.

PS: If I wasn't about to go half-way bankrupt with my trip, I would have snatched up one of those huge HDD's for ~$90...Oh well, I guess I'll have to limit my pr0n collecting instead.  tongue

I loves the newegg. Buy the bulk of parts personally and professionally through them.

Musician's Friend is another website (for musicians, duh) that does a lot of one-day sales with occasional great deals.

Just a quick FYI: Got an email on Friday; Newegg is having a sale on AMD64 CPU's and Mobo's. Not a bad time to consider upgrading.

No word on the duration of the sale.
