So I'm waiting for the BoSox game to start on ESPN and since there's a rain delay they play the Schilling pre-game press conference where he announces he's going back on the DL. He also happens to be wearing an Everquest 2 hat.

Did SOE pay for that or does Schilling really love the game that much?

If SOE is paying for it, they may want to spend some money and get someone else who has an ERA under 5 to wear their hat.

I wonder if he wears the bloody sock on raids just to remind him that some things hurt less than EQ raids.

As odd as it seems eq and eq2 really do appeal to a wide variety of folks. Heck we have at least 3 folks in our guild who are in their late 50's age not level to the normal assortment of 30 somethings of assorted professions and one special forces operator who dosn't get to play much anymore but also enjoyed eq a great deal.

Hrm, "I love EQ2, by the way I'll be calling in sick the next 2 weeks."  Someone will be levelling up like a madman.

This post makes me want to squeeze into my badass red jeans.

My brother has a contractor (construction) that does odd jobs around his house. The guy has his own business doing this, and is in his late 50's, with a wife and kids, etc., etc.

He played more EQ than the two of us put together in our "winding down" phase.

Takes all kinds!

A lot of old peeps play CoH, too.  My test server guild had several players in their 50s, and one 63 year old.  I wasn't the oldest player for a change.

I fully expect to be playing online games well into my 80s. Of course I probably won't remember I played them.

When the hell did you start watching or paying attention to sports, or than the Queens?
