Jerry Reed dead at 71 from complications from emphysema.

He was a fucking awesome guitarist and songwriter, but you probably remember him from Smokey and the Bandit and Eastbound And Down. I'll remember him for great stuff like The Claw and Amos Moses. And the great She Got The Mine, I Got The Shaft.

Turning out to be quite a shitty year.

While not a fan of that general genre of music, I always liked Jerry Reed. I actually always liked Cledus better than the Bandit as a kid.
