Say I want to stream Hex brew testing and drafts privately just with f13 people. Is there a service that does this? Twitch dumped it because Ad Revenue, and Hitbox simply isn't full-featured atm. Kind of a shitshow.
Any other options that aren't total butt?

Steam has a few options for it's broadcasting stuff. You can set it to invite only if you want, or that people have to request and you have to OK it. Not sure if it can be used for non-Steam games, I get the prompt when people play non-Steam games but I haven't checked if it works.
Edit: maybe Youtube? I'm not sure if you can set a live event to unlisted or not, but if you can that should keep everyone without a link out, I think.

In the process of finding out if Steam streaming even works with non-Steam games, and if so, how to do it with Hex.

It works for non-Steam games, but I don't know how you would do it for Hex. If you launch Hex as a non-steam game it brings up the launcher and once that brings up the actual client you're no longer under Steam as it's a different application now.

I found this really clunky way of getting around that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIz-XO4JM8gIt works, but it doesn't seem totally reliable as far as streaming goes. But I'm not sure if it was steam broadcasting in general that I was having trouble with or specifically because it was a non-steam game. I did get it working for about 10-15 minutes, but then the next time I tried to do it I couldn't get it to stream at all.
