So I was thinking about a game I used to play in high school, kinda a precursor to civ. I googled it and http://www.classicempire.com/

Man, that interface is terrible. I used to love that game though.

There was a play by mail and a modem version too. I used to play with a friend who actually owns a gaming studio now.

I found Empire II (a sequel only in name) a lot more enthralling. For a while, I maintained a fan site for it.
