Scream can be heard here.  It's actually pretty good, unless you don't like Idol.

I've been holding my breath because comeback albums don't usually come together too well, but this makes me a little more optimistic.

Not the biggest Idol fan here (Actually, maybe I am. More as a source of comedy. Like, say, Rick James), but yeah, you're right. Sounds good. His vocals are actually better now than they were in the past.

Maybe one day we'll play a game together and I'll get on teamspeak. I think I can do a pretty good rendition of White Wedding (or..maybe not. It's funnier to see, I think).

Yeah I like this hope the rest is just as good. I have all his solo albums and most of his Gen. X stuff as well. Good stuff.

BWL is funny tho.  It's like watching a Special Needs school take a field trip to a minefield.

I used to dig Idol back when, great voice. And Stevens rocks and imo defines a pop rock guitarist. Just flashy enough without being too intrusive.

The new track is pretty solid, if a little pop/commercial for my tastes, along the lines of maybe Velvet Revlover. Actually, I like it better than "Slither". Good solo and fills, nice bridge section, Bill still has the vocal chops as good as he did back when.

Not bad, but not really the kind of stuff I buy these days.

My current favorite cd: Alcohol Fueled Brewtality Live - Black Label Society.

FYI, I hear Idol is going to be playing SXSW in Austin in March. Probably be an interesting show to check out.

Idol at SXSW? It's more interesting that'd he'd even show up there.

If Billy is hoping to hang a comeback on this one, I think he's in for a disappointment.  It seems to me that his voice has matured to the point of no longer fitting well with the style. The song sounds forced and only Steven's guitar can keep this one moving along.  I don't care for the lyrics, the mix, or the song as a whole.  Whatever that "something" was that Billy had, I'm afraid it's just not on this track.  Maybe it's knowing that Billy is a little older than I am and I can't imagine being back on stage in leather and spandex... Just my tastes I guess.

I liked Billy in the 80's, but this just doesn't work for me.  Maybe the rest of the cd is better... I'm not willing to toss $15 to find out.

Yep, it's a good thing for Billy that he's back with Steve.  Both their careers went south when they parted ways.

Yeah and he hasn't aged too badly:

Is it me or does David Lee Roth (the old version) look a little like "Doc" from Back to the Future?

You need a picture that includes the waistline to judge.  That's where all of the oldness goes.

Well he's still aged pretty well there too. It's completely unfair though, if you've ever met him you'd know he's just a giant asshole who sings. Thankfully I've never been face-to-face with the man but have been close enough to see his antics.

Actually, all you need to do is listen to him talk to realize he's just a giant asshole that sings.

I think there's was a few years there where he tried to convince us all he was a giant SEXY asshole who sings.

What is it about his assholeness that distinguishes him from all the other singing assholes?  I thought they were all pretty much assholes.
