Berlusconni gets a LOT of REALLY HONEST coverage as his media company has totally blocked Murcoch's Newscorp from the Italian market, so every one of his foibles and gaffs gets a ton of coverage internationally for the sin of thwarting Murcoch.

Not saying the guy isn't a gigantic wanker, but there's more going on here than a really embarrassing PM.

I never said he did. But Murdoch has succeeded in giving legitimacy to the constant reports on Berlisconi by making him a figure of fun. Memes don't just form in the internet.

And as I mention Berlusconi IS a colossal wanker

From everything I've ever seen him say over the years, I'd say he's actually getting under reported in the media.

"My great-grandfather did not travel across four thousand miles of the Atlantic Ocean to see this nation overrun by immigrants.  He did it because he killed a man back in Ireland. That's the rumor."
